Oh, we all knew this was how it started. He’s been snarky since day one. We — including Missy Authoress, here — just didn’t see it coming like THIS.
What? You think there’s a plan in all this? Would you enjoy it as much if you weren’t getting the surprise the same way I did? This stuff shows up while I’m roughing – and giggling.
And yes, I’ve been awakened by characters in the middle of the night with new ideas, and gasped, “My readers are going to KILL me!”
But I do it anyway.
This is what I get for having a weird life and knowing strange people.
And we thank you for it. The sheer amount of entertainment mixed with information and thoughts/ideas hitting my brain all coming from one person has been phenomenal, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it.
Panel 6 made me giggle insanely when I first read the paper issue, and same now. Possibly one of the top ten panels of the entire series.
Me too! I was thinking, “OOOH, this society has been pushing him and they are so going to get a surprise!”
What’s the warning? “Don’t piss off nice people.”?
I had the fortune to talk with Marion Zimmer Bradley at a World Con and she talked about how she’d find herself laughing at what would come out of her characters mouths. She said I never knew what they might say next.
As I said, not only are you a magnificent artist, you are a magnificent author.
