This was all so much fun to draw.
I’ve recently tried to color one of these old pages, and the result was – disappointing. It looked like one of those old drop-color comics pages.
If art isn’t meant to be color, it shouldn’t be. These were drawn as black and white and complete. The next step is too much.
If I do post the thing, it will be at my Deviantart page. Which I’ll try to do later.
I’d imagine that these might be better colored with water color, like they used to hand tint photographs. They’re nice as is though.
Doesn’t really work — those inks don’t respond well to color. There is black and white work, and there is color work. This is the former.
I wonder if you’d be willing to let your fans try? (No, not me, unless I print it out and use crayons)
