I used to grow my own wormwood and make tinctures. This is not (NOT!!) recommended. It’s toxic. Absinthe is now legal, again, so you can get the safe stuff. Not the underground whackness.
Loves Absinthe. Not drank many, but best absinthe I’ve had so far is called Clandestine (costly as hell, but it lasted me a long while). It’s a clear Swiss brand that was brewed during Absinthe Prohibition. Everyone knows Absinthe is green, as long as they don’t open the bottle it can pass for something else. Still brewed in small batches on the family still, in small amounts.
Worst Absinthe: Le Tourment (?). Nasty fake mouthwash green, kind of tasted like mouthwash too. Thank god I found a tiny bottle to try. Stuff was minty nasty. I used sugar cubes, stuff was still nasty.
And remember, absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
