Before anybody jumps on me for making guys look like dorks — the dialogue from this guy is based on actual dialogue written by a guy in another book.  Was it meant as sarcasm about male behavior?

Maybe.  I just happily borrowed it, in a context showing what women have to face every day.  Like I say, I don’t make this stuff up.
