I think the Peach had had a bit too much wine at dinner; even he’s not usually this calm if he’s had a knife thrown at him.

Everybody had to join the Hitler Youth or Bund Deutsche Madels if they were of a certain age.  The program promptly became overloaded the system — the regime was really just a revenue-stripping machine — and the children were often sent off to “summer camps” where they were abused by older counselors because there was no real adult supervision.  It certainly didn’t do Rosen any good, although it was better than the way he’d been living (stay tuned = RSS this site).
