What was with drawing all the airplanes back then?

The rough skeleton for this story was written by Steve Gallacci, one of my original publishers, under his company Thoughts and Images.

I base a lot of my characters on people, places and situations I’ve known.  I was particularly annoyed at somebody at this time, using that person to play the Bad Commander.  I use a nasty homophobic insult from that person in issue #17, Culture Clash.

I have a new retort for racism, etc.: “Oh, you have a time machine! And it brought you here from the 19th century!”
