Doberman’s kind of like me:  “oooo shinee”

It doesn’t take much to distract me; my totem bird is Raven, and shiny is what it’s all about.  Which may be why my writing wanders around the way it does.  I’m a true novelist — I couldn’t be a genre writer if I tried — and the mark of the novelist is sticking whatever fascinates him/her into the pages.  Look at the original novels: whatever the writer knew or had seen was slapped down and shared.

We’re like the hunters who didn’t bring home so much food as neat things we’d seen during the day.  Everybody else may stuff the hot meat or roots in their mouths, but they were watching us wave our hands around and chattering the news against the campfire light.

And we’ll do anything for a pat on the head.  How many of us do art and writing for FREE for a few free copies?  Yeah, you.  I mean you, too.
