I don’t normally think of myself as being like the Peach — I’m a cross between Udo and Leutnant Winzig.

But this “I must do my duty” attitude is so me.  It’s gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past, and every once in a while I do it again.

If you ever feel you have to do something because it’s your moral duty, more people are going to get hurt than not.  Do it for fun (as long as you don’t hurt anything or anybody).

I hate being human right now — the Gulf mess makes me want to get on my face to every other lifeform on the planet and apologize for existing.  As the old Inuit guy said, so many years after the Exxon Valdez spill:  “Every time I see a white man, I want a machine gun.”

We’re lucky polar bears can’t get Uzis.
