The Peach has managed to put his people out of harm’s way, on the top of an escarpment outside the regular swing of battle. So it’s hard for them to get mail, much less up-to-date news about real conditions from home.
On the one hand the Peach seems like he’s living in a happy Ladeda land, with no troubles or problems. On the other, if you look more closely (and we shall…), he’s deeply pragmatic about what he can actually do. He throws his energy into that. By the time we get to issue 30, we’ll see how much this incident really affected him. His brother Rommel is going to have KITTENS.
Hogan’s Heroes dialogue:
“Klink is going to have kittens!”
“I’d like to see that.”
