This character is based on a friend who is a cook.  She shaves her head like that.  She doesn’t blow up but she has the capability for doing it.

Why would anyone tease or insult a cook in her own kitchen?  These people have knives and boiling water and fire in all its forms and incredible hand strength and pinpoint cutting control.  There’s a reason Japanese blade-makers have always provided edges for Samurai and cooks.

Winzig’s not really insulting the cook; his annoyance at Udo is just too much for one man so he’s lashing out at the wrong target.  Really the wrong target.
