AAAAND here comes Rosen to completely throw the entire discussion out of any serious joint — or to give it the perspective it deserves.  We need to laugh at Nazis, not fear them. Point and Laugh; it drives them crazy.

Not talking about officers, superior or otherwise — a certain American general just learned that we don’t do that in staff meetings, let our staff do it, or say it in a magazine article.

Privates and corporals can grouse about their superiors, such as sergeants and lieutenants, but when we get up to the field ranks, we watch our manners.  And if we are dealing with our ultimate superiors — the commander in chief or HIS superior, the American people, we keep our goddamn uniformed mouth shut.

What’s wrong with today’s army?  Don’t they teach these people any discipline?  Or the basic chain of command? Eh, whadaya gonna do about Lifers (volunteers)? They’re like most volunteer uniforms — they think they’re the POINT, not the service tool.  If they don’t like being under civilian control, then they need to get the hell out of the uniform.  Or move to Uganda in the 1970′s.
