Erwin Rommel HATED flies. Insects in general drove him – ahem – buggy. He once set his bedstead on fire to get rid of the bedbugs.

Re-doing a smeared card; I once did re-did an entire coffee-splattered inked transcript at the University of Washington. It was one of two I did in the same way. I’ve always wondered if somebody went back to get their transcript — and discovered it was done in perfectly-lettered, clearly legible, APPROVED-by-the-boss Fraktur.

My sister, working at Scott Paper in Everett, WA, once unrolled a toilet-paper roll, drew about six feet of cartoons about three feet in — and then packaged it.

One always wonders….
