If you’ve ever been around militaria or antiques fans, you’ve heard conversations like this.
If you’ve read books or seen movies that center in nothing but the camps, or the American Navy, or the Afrika Korps, you’ll realize NOBODY is an expert on World War Two, not even those who were there. They were expert on their own corner of it, mostly because anybody who knew what was going on strategically weren’t going to share with the peasants.
Keep your head down, take your paycheck, and don’t ask if barbed wire can be used for anything but cattle.

Oh, and sex. Major interest of soldiers. Why do you think it has been so proscribed over the years for female soldiers? “No touchy!”
